And since that is obviously implying the intelligence level of the schizophrenic, I will state clearly for the record that that is not the actual implication, but merely the incorrect surface level one.

ie. "the giving up of hope for the meaningful and healthy interaction with what are essentially stupid or otherwise awful people."
