Rich people who feel lonely should go perform some charitable service without telling people who they are. Of course if they feel the opportunities are lacking they should then fund them and seriously stfu with their bitching forever because the next time they start to feel pouty the above sentence will again be the appropriate response.
or if i want to be a good Catholic, out of respect for Pope Francis, i may instead phrase it thusly:
serving others is the highest calling and has exactly the same impact on everyone who engages in it, from the richest, most powerful people in the world, down to those who have literally never known a day without debt in their entire adult lives.
we serve not ideas. we serve people.
the Pope's tour has already clarified this specific question for me and i am thankful for that.
