but with the sort of honesty and data, specifically the angles of investigation that can be put into practice almost immediately in almost any conceivable situation.

in a tangentially related point.... no, not really tangential but a distant, weak, uninteresting parallel is that i feel uncomfortable about the above link because it includes encrypted text which could (or, you know, does) reveal my identity, location, bank account number and atm card pin code. it makes me more skeptical of bostonglobe.com. add to that the intrusive drop-down javascript ad on the front page and i'm like 'bleh'.
the timing is coincidental, as i recently got the adblock message regarding the acceptable ads movement and after immediately and angrily clicking the "disable" button upon hearing that the program was "enabled" by default, and immediately becoming more skeptical about adblock's motivations and practices (the dude sold, so all bets are of course off), i have already come to be excited about the movement's possibilities. at the very least, i'm curious as to the results.
so when i went to boston.com with another browser to investigate the generation of the above link, i was immediately put off by that ugly, intrusive ad.
