it did in the Dylan Roof arrest.
Add as much context as you would like.
Start with, "they did not know..."
go as far as you can.
let me know if you still disagree.

We may be nearing our extinction as a species
but we still use collective force to kidnap, imprison and destroy the lives of innocent people who choose to smoke a specific plant that tends to make them giddy, lazy, sleepy, creative, or introspective.
I wouldn't blame a very large child for focusing his magnifying glass laser beam upon our heads.

Roof should be surrounded by only black officers
visitors and preachers for the next/last 18-24 months of his life.
Then he should be put to death, while the families of his victims likely pray for his soul.
It's so incredible as to be nearly literally incredible.

the naacp chick is the prototypical example of the liberal mind's confusion.
you couldn't conjure a better exampe if you tried.
her brother was asked what he wants from/for her..
he said he wants her to be more honest (iirc), and that he wants her to stop being so angry at everybody (irc, no extra 'i').
= the American liberal.
obnoxious, pushy, TRANSFERRING ANGER TO ANY AVAILABLE TARGET, and willing to use violence and force to get what she/shes want.
OBNOXIOUS.
as long as you mind your own business, you are free to be who you want. when you take up the cause of using force against others to benefit yourself, you have thus created the exact environment in which it is justified to point out exactly the sort of emotional and mental train wrecks you really are, prior to using an appropriately greater force in response, about which you will be confused and insulted, because you are
a) stupid
b) broken
c) self-hating
d) racist

Yes, it's dull and weathered, but it is still silver
it seems to me that if you have to go to prison, going as a former prison worker who helped inmates escape is probably right near the absolute most highly regarded position one could hold.

This is an interesting take.
http://nypost.com/2015/06/06/how-a-massive-silent-cultural-revolution-has-changed-america/
I think I largely agree (exceptions, as always), including with the last sentence. I think it's a good and useful take.
I am inclined to question motivations but it doesn't seem necessary or productive, given that the overall point is agreeable. Is that selling out somehow? I don't really care, I'm just asking.

A quick look back

Are you a good person?
I don't think you can look to our likely (or at least most popularly currently expected) technological future and feel good about it, and ALSO be a good person.
The glee with which techno types announce each new development, without even the slightest hint of any sort of reflection, is disturbing to say the least.
Fortunately for me, it will only be you half-human freaks who will be around to face the music when it all blows up in your faces (says the good person).

Technology and evolution is a weird combo.
it's hard to even define anything. i know everything is always in flux and changing, so perhaps the difference is purely cosmetic, but it's hard to figure out what purely technological evolution (AI) is or "would be".
if simple perpetuation is the goal, there are potentially infinitely different ways for "technology" to "perpetuate itself".
because, what is "itself"?
edit: of course, "DNA" is the only real answer, right? is such a concept part of our existing technological development? assuming it could be, then that perpetuation would be the goal... but it's also got to continually evolve... but technological duplication is potentially perfect, so there is no randomness... so you would introduce it... and the evolution could take place so fast as to make existence essentially meaningless.....
blah blahblah. whatever.

Let's get real up in this bitch.
when a manager gets thrown out of a baseball game, all of the other umpires should immediately charge at him and take him own aggressively before placing his hands behind his back and zip tying them together, pushing him down into the dugout aggressively in a bullying fashion.
well, let's clarify.
when a black manager is thrown out of a baseball game.
or a coach from a basketball game.
let's get real up in this bitch.
and let's keep it real because i'm keeping it real.

Maybe salary caps should have rollover minutes.
Maybe if you're under the cap by a dollar this year, you can go over it by a dollar next year.
Time for some freedom spreading again?
(one must put aside all concerns regarding current trade agreements and treaties to consider the following. one should not hesitate in such an intellectual exercise. what is simply is because it is, not necessarily because it must be.)
Should we make it our national duty to use economic power to force social changes in other countries?
Of course the danger is going too far, and humans almost always, perhaps always, eventually go too far when given the opportunity.
But let's argue in favor of the approach. Let's say that we decide we will not do business with any country that mandates that women wear those full body things in public, or where they can not drive, or where they can not vote.
ie. should we just buy these rights for those women?
What unintended consequences should we be worried about assuming we were successful in the effort? Perhaps the culture isn't ready for such a development? Perhaps there would be pushback? Perhaps violence would result?
How utopian and idealistic is the concept? Is there ANY way to go about such an effort productively and successfully without disastrous uc's (unintended consequences)?
Is it hypocritical of us, based on our history? Sure. You got it. Doesn't seem particularly important in any applicable sense, but if you need to get that on the record, consider it done.
Might France and England have been able to end American slavery earlier through purely economic pressure?
We are talking purely NON-AGGRESSIVE measures now. We are not talking ships surrounding the country, preventing them from coming or going. We are talking a choice, for all involved, as to how they want to behave.
Considering such things makes me feel like a kid again, which makes me both nervous and deeply skeptical.
